Friday 11 April, the Southern Districts Bronze 1 – Report by Carolyn Patman (Pennant Coordinator)

Well Ladies

The Oakies definitely threw a spanner in the works today at Kareela. We hit off last against the odds on team to win, The Coast, who had only lost one game and were leading going into the last day. We knew we couldn’t win the Pennant, but could potentially have a big influence on the outcome!

All I can say is that Beverley Park owe us big time!

We won 4-1 against the Coast and the team coming second, Beverley Park, won their game 4-1, which meant that there was a tie for first with two teams on 10 points. So it came down to games won and, yes, Beverley Park came out the winners.

So what a way to end the SD Bronze 1 Pennants, Oakies. Well done to all today’s players and all those involved over the last couple of months. A big THANK YOU! Overall Oak Point finished a respectable 5th place! SDB1 Representatives:- Carolyn Patman F/C, Stacey Auciello, Lenore McKinniery, Diane Polychrone, Diana Ryan, Dympna Duffy, Robyn Burgess, June Han, Mary Quill

Friday, 4 April, the Southern Districts Bronze 1 team played at Woolooware against Beverley Park in a very close game.
